Auckland
You know what, consider yourself as lucky on this planet that you are now arriving at one of the top 10 cities to live in – auckland. Auckland has the highest per capita boat than any other city in the world. Pickup your rental car & transfer to the hotel for a nice & relaxing start.
Pack your bags and off we go to rotorua, a geothermal city of new zealand, rare and unique on the planet. On our way we will visit waitomo caves – a wonder of its own. Visit includes boat ride in a real dark cave of – glowworms. Later continue to hobbiton movie set to experience stunning rolling hills and the lush pastures of the shire as featured in the lord of the rings & the hobbit trilogies. Finally arrive at rotorua, check-in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening – go spoil yourself at rotorua lake, wonder around the town and be amazed with flumes from the earth. Overnight stay will be in rotorua.
We will leave with just a back pack, camera, and water bottle etc necessary items to visit rotorua’s unique attractions and to experience some adventurous activities. Visit wai o tapu thermal wonderland to witness spectacular showcase of new zealand’s most colorful and unique geothermal elements sculpted by thousands of years of volcanic activity. Next on the list is the 4wd buggy ride. Learn the local maori history of rotorua’s sacred spirit mountain as well as enjoying the great views & surroundings. 4wd off road buggies carry you through nz native bush on 100 year old logging & farm trails. Finally enter the world of polynesian spa to have a world class lake spa. Ease up and let the environment at polynesian spa take you to a divine world of relaxation.
Early in the morning pack your bags to leave for auckland. On the way we will visit hamilton gardens – a peaceful, relaxing garden collection of paradise, productive, fantasy and landscape gardens – all at one place. We will then proceed to auckland, check-in to the hotel and quickly off to city tour. We will explore one tree hill, mt. Eden hill, tamaki drive, bastion point, and kelly tarltons sealife aquarium as main locations in a very dynamic – city of sails auckland. Witness the largest in- house collection of penguins in the world at kelly tarltons along with the sharks and other sea creatures. Later in the evening visit sky tower- the tallest free standing tower on southern hemisphere.
Early morning we will leave for christchurch by air (garden city of new zealand). Collect your vehicle and travel through the scenic canterbury plains and arrive at lake tekapo. After a while once nice and fresh, visit world famous church of good shepherd and stroll on the shores of stunning lake tekapo. At night visit tekapo springs and experience stargazing in a unique way with you relaxing in tekapo spring’s hot pool and enjoying stargazing at the same time in one of the best dark sky reserves in the world over you.
Leave for one of the most beautiful places on the planet- queenstown. On the way visit arrowtown – a little historical town with long mining history & also enjoy tasting of nz wine at gibbston valley winery. Later check in to the hotel, freshen up and leave for skyline gondola. Enjoy stunning panoramic view of queenstown during sunset and also enjoy one of the most memorable dinners of your life on top of bob’s peak.
We will leave for milford sound – a road trip with breathtaking scenery at every corner so keep your camera handy and there is no way, you can afford a little nap. Afternoon will be spent on milford sound cruise – a cherry on the cake kind of cruise trip after a beautiful road journey on milford road. We will return at the same hotel for overnight stay in queenstown.
Today after breakfast leave for a thrilling & world’s fastest shotover jet boat ride. Have your adrenalin pumping throughout the jet boat track and the same time witness queenstown’s mining history. Upon return in town, enter below zero bar and enjoy a glass of your favorite drink in the icy surroundings. Later in the evening visit onsen for breathtaking candlelight spa package with a private pool room of your own surrounded by japanese candles, open southern scenic sky over your head and shotover river below.
Today leave for glacier country via lake wanaka & world heritage area of haast pass. Once at wanaka, we will get you through some brain tickling at puzzling world – go challenge yourself and entertain at the same time. Also stroll on the shores of beautiful lake wanaka and witness stunning beauty around. Later reach franz josef, check in to the hotel and relax. Stay warm at glacier country as it may be a bit chilly. Overnight stay in franz josef.
Early morning after breakfast leave for christchurch via arthurs pass. Enroute visit jade factory and a glass blower shop in hokitika. Take a panoramic tour of christchurch city and overnight stay.
